Our New Furry Friend!

It has only been 4 months but life without a dog has been a bit lonely here at the Radtke house.  So after much searching and consideration, we happened upon our new little furball!  Tyrone comes from a litter of 9 up in Scottsdale, mom, Cupid, and dad, Thunder.  Though almost white in color right now, we think he'll darken up to a light golden as he grows.  Right now he spends his days alternately playing hard and sleeping hard:-) 

Teddy and Ryan are thrilled with their new puppy!  We have lots of training ahead of us, but we're excited to see Tyrone fetch, swim and run around as he gets older.

Off to the races!

Last week, Teddy and Ryan participated in their first race with Running Club through school.  We drove to Goodman Elem. where 3 or 4 other schools got together to run a mile and a half race!

Here are Ryan and Teddy running by during the race.  I couldn't believe how well they did!

They each got a number as they crossed the finish line, so that the event staff could keep track of who came in when.  As you can see, Ryan actually came in before Teddy!  Ryan's more of a sprinter and Teddy is a long-distance endurance runner!

In the end, Ryan ended up winning 2nd place in his age group!! He's standing next to the boy in the white shirt...tough to see him.  But he was very proud to be able to stand up for his award!
